Farm workers and their families experience the greatest exposure to agricultural pesticides through direct contact. Children are more susceptible and sensitive to pesticides. Farming methods such as slash and burn and heavy use of fertilisers and pesticides damage the long-term productivity of the land, undermine the sustainability of food production systems.

THE IMPLEMENTATION
- 1.Promote organic farming to rural communities by explaining its potential benefits for health, environment,economyand income generation.
- 2.Support education and training on the benefits of organic production methods and traditional practices targeting consumers in general, schools, agricultural colleges and universities.
- 3.Conserve traditional knowledge and languages relating to organic production techniques.
- 4.Organise campaigns and events to raise awareness of the benefits of organic agriculture across India.
- 5.Pressurise government bodies to formulate and implement strong Organic agriculture policies.
